That's a mighty serious look alright! Here's wishing you one of those speedy overnight recoveries that sometimes happens. The weather does seem right for travel.
Scott,
If you're feeling under the weather, and wanting to go offshore... wait a day or so. I was offshore today, and other than the other casino boat no one was. It was yucky.
The forecast for the weekend is beautiful. Not alot of wind, but there is always more than they forecast. The seabreeze kicks in around 13:00.
Amy,
Don't drink instant coffee!! Try a french press. Our coffee maker at home died, and we'd received one as a wedding gift (27+) years ago. In a panic, I used it. Found instructions on the net. Turns out it makes an amazing cup of coffee! If you can heat water for instant, you're set. I bought a second one to keep on the boat because I was tired of dragging the original one back and forth. No more coffee maker or instant!
Carla
Per the title of an email from Amy, I renamed the post from Cranky to Captain Crankpants. That's funny. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling very funny or clever yesterday. I think I'm feeling a little better today, but we'll see.
I meant to do some errands ashore yesterday, but I couldn't summon the motivation. I'll take care of them today and hopefully move up to Port Canaveral.
Winds are presently light and out of the NW. So today might not be a great day for heading north anyway. If the winds change, I should have plenty of time to get north through the weekend.
Uh oh Carla, are you encouraging Amy to bring more appliances aboard? I guess if there's room for a tv and playstation, there's room for a french press. But I see this could be a slippery slope. Next thing you know, there will be a breadmaker and ice machine aboard ;)
Carla - you are so right about the french press. And I have a small one stashed away in the cupboard already! I am afraid, however, that if I'm not there, Scott will use it to strain engine oil or something like that.
I'm glad you're feeling a little better, Captain Crankypants.
Amy's referring to the fact that she bought a measuring cup for the galley, and I promptly turned it into a motor oil measuring cup for my two cycle outboard.
